An increasing group of young people in Goma, a city in the North-East of the Democratic Republic of Congo, rallies against the one-sided coverage of their city; one that perpetuates images of war, violence, disease and poverty, showing stereotypes that are the result of years of Western domination. In the documentary Stop Filming Us, filmmaker Joris Postema shows the struggle of journalist Ley Uwera, photographer Mugabo Baritegera and filmmaker Bernadette Vivuya to capture and cover their own experience of life in Goma.
