Fort Buku

Fort Buku is a hip-hop label, platform and artist collective founded by Dutch MC SKAV. It’s named after the stronghold of the Surinam resistance movement of 1771. On a larger scale, Fort Buku is an attempt to present the essence of rap and hip hop as a communal movement and form of activism. Just like Utrecht’s central station, it connects like minded artists like SKEDEL, Tommy Lazarus, RED en MC DRT under one single hub.
